Coming Soon! Salon & Spa

I decided that Riverview (or any other town) might enjoy an updated salon and spa.  I've been building a lot in Riverview and I've forgotten that it actually has one of the best layouts of all the towns I've ever played.  (The only town I don't have is Lunar Lakes.) For being a free town, and as old as it is, Riverview is a lovely town.

Anyway, I actually removed a pre-built house that was located on this corner and built this Salon that's equipped with Ambitions make-over stations and the massage beds from the Sunlit Tides Store World.  I also used Roaring Heights build items which give this building that older flare.

This is ready for upload, but I'm having problems getting decent interior pictures because every time I go into camera mode the building glitches out like my sim isn't there. You know if your draw distance is down then nearby buildings look kinda Minecraft-ish..... well, that's what the salon does in camera mode and it makes it difficult to get a worthy shot.

I also have plans to rebuild some other Ambitions buildings and removing two other houses on the same street as the salon.  When I upload this I'll be sure to specify the address, because this building is intended for Riverview and built with two entrances since it's a corner lot.  But with some minor changes this could be placed in any town.  :)

Coming Soon!

Not sure what I'm going to call this house just yet, but this is a home for Roaring Heights and features quite the glamorous lifestyle for sims.

I ought to have it ready within a few days.  There's landscaping to do in the back and finishing touches to the interior.

This is a CC FREE home, but uses tons of store content.

New! Sandalwood

Sandalwood is a 3BR/2.5BA Traditional home, built as similarly as possible to my own real house.  I originally started this out of boredom on graph paper when the power was out and decided to share after building it in Sims 3.  :)

The best features of the home is the vaulted ceiling in the living room, the ample space for a growing family, a fenced-in back yard with room to add an outdoor play ground and outdoor cooking/entertainment.  Everything but the bedrooms have been fully furnished and designed.  And you may notice the one very pink bedroom -- well, that's my daughter's room and the paint color she chose when we moved into our house, lol. ;-)

This home contains 2 pieces of Transferrable CC only:  MissyZim at TSR created matching windows sets for the base game Colonial windows.  The MZ 2x1 Tall Shutter and the MZ 2x1 Colonial Window Tall are all that is included with the house as 3rd party CC.

Everything else in the home is from the Store (a painting for Aurora Skies is the only thing the Sims 3 asset page did not list.) And from the following Expansions: WA, AMB, LN, Pets, ST, Seasons, SN, IP, ITF

Sandalwood was built in Riverview on 30 Hidden Grove Lane.  Although on the item images I said Riverside thanks to a brain fart.  (facepalm)

On to the pics!

You can easily remove the CC through Delphy's Custard Tool which you can find at MTS (Modthesims.info) if you want a CC Free version.  The Custard tool is straight-forward and easy to use.

Please Recommend/Download/Favorite if you like it.

As always, Happy Simming!

NEW! Grayson

Grayson is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath traditional home with stone siding.  This home is pretty basic, a good home for those that like to decorate and make homes their own but don't like or want to build their own house.

Grayson comes only partially furnished, and the furnishing that is there is simply to give downloaders the idea of the intended layout.  The only thing that may be worthwhile to keep is the kitchen counters because I placed them with build cheats.

The landscaping is also simple, allowing downloaders to customize should they want to do more with it.  The back of the lot is completely empty in regards to landscaping.  But there's room to add a back porch/patio area and any outdoor activities your sims may like.

This home has no CAP Patterns and no 3rd Party CC and there's 1 free store item, a tree from one of the free sets.

You can download Grayson and other creations by visiting My Studio.

Please remember to download and recommend.

Coming Soon! Riverside Cottage

This home contains small amounts of 3rd Party CC, which is giving me issues with uploading to the official Sims 3 site.  But I'm going to keep trying.

Wish me luck and Happy Simming!

Rambling

Permit me to ramble about random Sims 3 stuff.  First, I'm going through a Tudor phase....

This is my third Tudor WIP and likely the biggest one.  This is more of a Gothic-style Tudor and the other two are more traditional (which I haven't shared the other two yet.)  Anyway, thought I'd share the one above for now.  I should be able to upload the smallest of the three Tudor houses today.  That was the one I built for a friend that needed a family home on a budget.

And last night I caved and bought Roaring Heights.  I was planning on really not investing further into Sims 3 a couple months back when I got back to playing, but I've gotten store content and the ITF expansion since then so... yeah...

Anyway, I really do love Roaring Heights and have been having some ideas on building.  I was thinking of keeping in mind with a bit of a budget, you know, for the players that DON'T cheat, lol. (I totally cheat.)

Opinions on this house I'm showing are welcome...  Its definitely a "meh" feeling for me, but I liked the roof design.  But I also felt like this house didn't really fit the 40's theme of Roaring Heights.

Anyway, I've been googling 40's interior design and I'm kinda in love with what I've been finding, so I REALLY want to build at least one house in Roaring Heights.  The problem for me, I think, will be in building a style that fits the town.  It's definitely not something I've built before so it'll be new for me.

Anyway, I guess that's all for now.  Ta Ta, kiddos!

Picture Update

I'm moving along with the big Victorian and have a majority of the outside of the lot complete.  This home is going to be CC Free, but will contain tons of store items and items from Midnight Hollow.

And I have another build in progress:

This house is actually a real house - my house!  We were out of power yesterday thanks to the bad weather going through our area (we got ice but no snow) so while the power was out I sketched out our floor plan on graph paper and started building it in-game this morning when the power came back on.

I'm really proud of this house so far, because it very true to the real thing.  The only difference is I chose to make a brick accent in the game on the outside that we don't really have.  I wanted to break up all the siding with the brick, and now I wish our house had it.  And because we've only been in our house just under a year, all our plants don't look as good as they do in the game (because it's Winter, for one) because the plants are still young.  But I'd like to think in a few years our plants will look more like they do in the Sims 3.

This house WILL contain 3rd Part CC.  It's one window and one set of shutters since I wanted to make the front as close to what ours looks like as possible.  Everything else will be store and expansion content.

Victorian Monstrosity -- Err, I mean "manor"

I decided to take on a big project.  I bought Midnight Hollow last night and wanted to put some of the build/buy items to use in a new house.  However, this house isn't built in Midnight Hollow, because I didn't want a Gothic Victorian house, just a traditional Victorian with bright colors.

Here's a look at what I've started:

It's pretty ridiculously big.

It has about 6 fireplaces, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a half-bath.  It will have a library, sitting room, and formal dining room.  The outdoor area will have a pool, gazebo and some OLS content.

I plan to fully furnish and decorate this home, so it won't be done for awhile.  It's something I plan to work on in between other builds.

I'm finishing up a small Tudor house now, an old friend asked me to build them a budget house, so I'll share that after I finish play-testing tomorrow.

Happy Simming!
