It seemed like a shoe-in to me to create a country club for Hidden Springs. In place of Lars' Disco Tech, I started to create a country club, which I found more fitting than an out-dated "disco joint."
So, here's what used to be on the lot:
And using the same frame but changing the style and a bit of the layout, here's the country club:
Again, it's still in construction, but I don't think it'll take me long to finish it. I think the issue will be in uploading it.
Speaking of uploading, the Fire House and Spa are still not uploading to my studio and I really don't want to upload to mediafire because they purge uploads frequently and there's no guarantee that uploads to mediafire will be there long enough to allow everyone to download. So, I'm still trying to work on uploading those two lots. It has been successful without using the upload image changer program, but I really don't get the downloads I like without having custom pics so I'm working on how to fix this.
Again, as soon as they upload the way I want, I will include links and additional pictures here on the blog.

Gettin' My Groove On
Since starting this pet project for myself, my desire to build has been re-sparked. I love building, but some projects really keep me entertained. Turns out, creating my own version of what I want in Hidden Springs is really entertaining.
Since completing Towne Square, I've dabbled a little more with the Hunter's Lodge. But I stopped because I think I really want to focus on fixing the "downtown" area of HS (Hidden Springs) first.
I bulldozed that atrocious Crystal Solarium Rejuvinating Waters and made way for a Greece-inspired, elite community pool. Since Hidden Springs is supposed to be this rich, hip city that the celebrity and affluent sims run to, then it needs to look like it, right?
BEFORE:
AFTER:
It's obviously still a WIP but hopefully you can get the idea of what I'm trying to accomplish. This lot will have store items from the Greek sets and the same CC I've used in the Towne Square.
There will be luxuious lounges and bars, outdoor pools and hot tubs and private baths. Parking will be added to either side of the lot as well, I just haven't added that yet.
Another fixer-upper I've started in on is the fire station. The previous fire station was the default Ambitions lot. I removed that and created this:
I think I can do better since I'll be able to use Late Night items and make it a sweet lounge. So stay tuned, folks!

It's large, I know, but I think it'll be great. The black asphalt leads to the additional parking and also offers a back-gate enterance to the fitness/recreation area for the fire-fighters.
The first floor is where the fire truck is housed, the office for the captain/chief, and a living area. The second floor will be for the kitchen and dining, and the third is the bathrooms and sleeping area. Also, on a random side-note, this fire house is wide and not long, so it may look a little bigger than it is...
The last lot I worked on (and completed since it's a simple rabbit hole) is the former diner, The Enchanted Grill, is gone and I replaced it with the Town Life restaurant that you see below. I also altered a little of the landscaping and made an elevated outdoor eating area.
Unless someone really wants me to, I'm not going to upload this lot to the exchange because I really didn't do much with this lot since it's just a rabbit hole. However, should any reader really want to add this to their game, I will add it to my studio upon request. :)
The next lot I plan to rebuild is Lars' Disco-Tech.
I think I can do better since I'll be able to use Late Night items and make it a sweet lounge. So stay tuned, folks!

Hidden Springs Towne Square
I'm baaacck!
So, I was able to get a boost of creativity to finish the big park in Hidden Springs. For those interested, it is uploaded to my studio on the Exchange.
Before giving the link, let me say that this lot does include some CC. It is all safe and tested and shouldn't negatively impact your game.
I only used the flat cement roof trim and Large Sidewalk Tile spray paint that I got from Awesims ... I don't have the link for it. Both of these CC items are included in the download.
Click Here to download Towne Sqaure.
Please take the time to recommend. :)
Happy Simming!

PS - Pictures are located in the asset ...
EDIT: Just to be sure that the spray paint from Awesims works, I feel that I should provide the files necessary in case downloading the lot doesn't include this CC I used.
I uploaded the files in a zip folder on mediafire HERE
If anyone could tell me if downloading the lot does or does not include the side walk spray paint, that'd be great.

Coming Soon - Hunter's Lodge & Towne Square
I'm re-vamping my in-game version of Hidden Springs and thought I'd share what I'm up to with everyone. :)
First, I think everyone who owns Hidden Springs would agree that pretty much everything in the town is an eye sore. I know I'm not the only one who has attempted this - in fact, I'm pretty sure there's a thread on the official forums dedicated to revamping HS. But for the most part, a lot of my enjoyment of the game is building over the actual playing, so I decided that I'd start my own pet projects dedicated to "fixing" the towns to my own liking. So, first I'll get HS done and then I'll move on to Barnacle Bay - one of my favorite towns, honestly. :D
So, without further ado, here's 2 spam-pics showing what I've got so far with 2 works in HS. First, the God-awful park in the center of town that had all those ridiculous stairs... GONE!
There's not much as you can see - but I've got plans to make this a more picturesque town square than it's predecessor.
Second, a redux of my version of the lodge that was located towards the top of the mountain on Ruby Avenue, The Hunter's Lodge (formally called something else that I decided to ditch and forget...)
Keep an eye out for more updates --
Happy Simming, Y'all!
